To and from the Airport in Madrid
Madrid Airport is 15km from the Madrid. It is linked to the city by the Madrid Metro subway system. The airport Metro station is located in Terminal 2 on the connecting corridor to Parking area 2. Journey to central Madrid involves transferring at Mar de Cristal (Line 8) to your required destination.
Trains run daily from 6 am to 2 am. Journey time to central Madrid, via Lines 4 and 6,
is 40 minutes.
Fare: €1.10.
The Airport bus to the Plaza de Colon (Route 89) departs from the
Arrivals level of each terminal from 04:45 am until 02:00 am. They operate every 15
minutes until 06:00, then every 10 minutes between 06:00 and 23:00. After 23:00
they operate every 16 minutes.
Fare: €2.40. (More than two travel bags at €2.31 for each extra piece of luggage)

Madrid is considered one of the top European destinations concerning
art museums. The most famous one is the Prado Museum,
the most popular Golden Triangle
of Art member known for such highlights as Diego Velázquez's Las Meninas and Francisco

Madrid is noted for its nightlife and night clubs. On weekends, Madrilenian youth are famous for dancing all night long, stopping only to have some chocolate con churros at dawn, go home, take a shower, shave (or not), and go to work. What is also popular is the practice of meeting in parks or streets with friends and drinking alcohol together (that is called 'botellón', from 'botella', bottle), but since a few years ago, drinking in the street is sanctioned with a fine and now young madrileños drink together all around the city instead of in some well known places.
Madrid Bullfighting
Las Ventas is considered by many to be the world center of bullfighting and has a seating capacity of almost 25,000. Madrid's bullfighting season begins in March and ends in October.
